Marco Guadagno and Conan the Boy from the Future, a comeback spanning 45 years

Almost half a century later, Conan, the Boy in Future returns to the cinema for three days, rekindling the bond with a generation that grew up with one of the most beloved animated series ever. Marco Guadagno, the historic Italian voice of the anime, recounts that experience to Ciak Magazine, looking back on a work that was created in a very different era from today.
‘We’re talking about 47 years ago,’ Guadagno begins. ‘It’s very interesting to talk about a series that, in some ways, is still very modern today.’ A work that, when reinterpreted through today’s eyes, seems almost to anticipate the present: ‘If you like, you can see the advancement of science and technology, which exposes humanity to uncertainty. These are themes that closely resemble the times we live in.’
